Our Love Story
Allan and I met at the Real Canadian Superstore #1572, and we owe our relationship to the great timing of God and the Grad@Loblaw internship program. I first saw Allan working in the produce department, and I remember thinking “ Wow! There is a tall and handsome asian guy!” From that time on I was persistent in asking everyone about Allan, and finding opportunities to talk to him about anything I could think of. Our friendship actually began over Facebook messaging in 2008, and after much pestering Allan finally got the hint and asked me out on our first date on March 17th, 2010!
For our first date I had told Allan that I wanted to see Alice in Wonderland, and so we made plans to go and see that movie, but neither of us actually checked to see if the movie was going to be playing at the specific time that we were going to show up, and so we ended up watching “The Crazies”! Though the movie was awful Allan and I still remember making the best of the situation, and having a great time together. After the movie we went to dinner at Boston Pizza and drank green beer! The funny thing is on that date Lucy was introduced to Allan’s family, and was also the night of our first kiss!
We have been inseparable from that point on. There are many points of joy in our relationship; especially in the last year when Allan accepted Christ into his life. When deciding on a date for our wedding, it seemed only natural to get married in the very month that Allan proposed, and to do it in the church that Allan has come to faith.
